Meet Kaleena
I am passionate about helping artists achieve their creative goals. As a Hohner-endorsed harmonica player (yes, you read that right) with decades of experience in performing and session work, I am a musician first and foremost which helps me relate to artists on a creative level.
As a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University with a bachelor’s degree in recording industry management and concentration in commercial songwriting, I most recently spent three years at Universal Music Group’s iconic Def Jam Recordings as the senior director of international marketing and digital. Prior to that, I spent eight years in the publishing and recording divisions of music rights management company BMG.
Whether through breaking into new markets or building upon success stories in established markets, I use data and analytics tracking combined with digital marketing strategies to pinpoint organic traction and areas of opportunity to help artists expand their global footprint.
I believe the work truly begins when music is released as opposed to traditional marketing approaches which focus only on release day playlisting.
